"I have been taking classical guitar lessons from Erik for 8 years! Over the past year I worked on the piece Variations sur Folia de Espana et Fugue by Manual Maria Ponce. Erik introduced me to the piece and I fell in love with it! I even worked on recording the piece to post online and show friends (Something I am usually too shy to do). I wouldn’t be able to proficiently play the piece without Erik’s help. He teaches me how to work through my problem areas by showing me new exercises and techniques every week. Now I can play scales faster and cleaner than I ever thought I could! He also introduces me to concepts in music theory so I better understand the music I am playing. I have learned how to play many pieces of music from new and favorite composers. Erik gives me the confidence to try pieces I thought were too hard for me and then succeed in playing them.
